What a wonderful New Year's Resolution, Joel. In addition to telling the truth about our fears, needs, and anxieties, I believe it's important to tell the truth about our positive feelings. Many people keep those inside, too. I'll be writing about our genetically proven "negativity bias" in my January 17th newsletter. Here's to living fully in 2022. Blessings to you and your family.
Truth is a hard pill to swallow Joel, specially when we are admitting our flaws and fixations to ourself after many years of denial. To emerge out of the destructive habits, we need to acknowledge the truth. I love that you keep reminding us of these simple yet powerful life changing practices. I almost forgot how much life changed since I started being authentic. You are very brave to practise the art of telling truth. Much love and thank you.
You're so right. And all the more reason to commit to authenticity! It is the only way to be free. I think you really demonstrate this in the topics you cover in your writing, always seeking to set others free by telling their true story. It is a rare thing to find truth-telling people!
Absolutely Joel, truth is alchemical gold. It transforms us invariably once accepted. The synergy between your life path and your diction is inspiring. In India we respectfully say Namaste when we meet someone after a long time. The word means your soul identifies my soul. Its about identifying and acknowledging the truth within yourself and others. 🙂
I also believe that when we tell the truth, we need to do it in the spirit of love, in order to build other people up, not to tear them down. I also agree with Heather, that we need to share the truth about our positive feelings as well. It shows that we are balanced human beings. Happy New Year and happy 2022!
I'm glad to hear this resonated with you, Jayne. I really hope you found some inspiration as you pursue truth. You're right - it is hard! It's taken me years, and even needed therapy to figure out how to live in truth. I've still got a lot to learn, but I can tell you this much: You can do it! I believe in you, because you're already exploring truth through your reading and writing.

So true! We need more of that for sure. It’s too easy to focus on negative things, even in pursuit of healing.
Happy new year to you and your loved ones, Heather!
Great stuff, Joel!
Thank you, Dave!
